RULES AND ELIGIBILITY
1. There is no registration fee.
2. Participants will have to register online.
3. Once registered, you can proceed to the Submission of your Executive Summaries, which is to be done online.
4. An individual or the team of individuals can participate but maximum members in a team can be 4 (including the team leader) and you can change your team information and other registration details by logging into the edit registration page. You can even add a team member or drop someone. This facility will be available till submission last date.
5. Participants have to answer the Questionnaire in the first round. The Questionnaire can be submitted/edited upto the last day of Submission.
6. It must be noted that the last submission would be considered as the final submission for the team.
7. Teams who have registered their company/startup before a span of the last one year, are not eligible to participate in Arth 2010.
8. Contestants can take part in other business plan competitions as well.
9. One contestant can send more than one Business Plan. But, you will have to register separately for each B-Plan that you/your team submits.
10. Entries need to have an innovative value (An innovative concept provides a solution for a new need, or offers a new way of fulfilling an existing need. The concept makes a clear advancement compared to existing products, services or technologies).
11. Contestants if not in consent with a university or institute must be the intellectual owners of the concept. The knowledge and/or the essential quality of the company that will be started up must have the consent of the owner(s) for the exploitation of the concept.
12. Contestants should register online for the first round and should always use their login for any future correspondence.
Entries submitted after the deadlines will not be considered.
The Name given to the Idea/Entry shall not be changed for the second round. However any change in name for the third and final round can be done by bringing it to the notice of the organizers, stating the reference number for the entry.
Winning contestants must appear in person or a point person should be sent to collect the prize money. They will be notified in due time.
The judges, mentors and the organizers will take the utmost care in handling the entries, and will guarantee the utmost confidence.
Every contestant must agree with the rules of the contest and must agree to accept the declaration of confidentiality.
Contestants must agree to accept that their registration form and other entries will not be returned to them, and accept that their personal data will be available for statistical purposes.
Entries remain the property of the legal owner.
All conflicts subject to jurisdiction of Roorkee Courts only.
* Any person currently enrolled in a university or an educational institute is a student.
RULES FOR ELEVATOR PITCH
Suppose you have a brilliant idea, and the person to whom you want to sell the idea is a very big shot guy. He has no time to waste, so he tells you, "While I got to the top floor in the elevator, where I have a meeting, you have the time to explain your idea to me." How much time you have now? Maximum 5 minutes!! This is the concept of Elevator Pitch. The rules for the same as follows:
1. Every Participant will be given 5 minutes for presentation in front of panel of judges, followed by question and answer round.
2. Elevator Pitch will be closed door presentation.
3. Upto five teams from elevator pitch would be shortlisted for ARTH FINALS based on judges' discretion.
