ABOUT EDC, IIT Roorkee

The Entrepreneurship Developement Cell (EDC), IIT Roorkee strives to spread the culture of entrepreneurship in as well as out of the campus of IIT Roorkee. It firmly believes that emerging economies like India need the drive and innovation of young entrepreneurs. It therefore aims at manifesting the latent Entrepreneurial spirit of the youth. It not only motivates the youth to start-up their own enterprise, but also makes efforts to provide them with the necessary resources to do so.

In its bid to promote entrepreneurship, EDC has taken many initiaives. Some of our initiatives apart from Arth are:

• Samadhan - The Social Entrepreneurship Business Plan Competition.
• E-Summit – The annual Entrepreneurship festival of IIT Roorkee.
• Enclub – A forum for IIT Roorkee junta to discuss and nurture their business ideas.
• Barcamps – Enclub redefined. It is a discussion forum open for all.
• Start-Up Job Fair- A fair where Start-Ups come, recruit the students and also provide them interns.
